At our core, we are vintage lovers, world travelers and jewelry industry history aficionados. We use these passions and skills to bring you truly unique, vintage, rare and amazing items to help you create distinctive jewelry and art.
Limited & unique Stock
All of our products have a limited quantity and many are exclusive to Belluxe. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. This means you can be sure your designs won’t be easily copied and can be truly special.
In a world where buying and selling and promoting your designs online are not only commonplace, but expected, keeping your designs exclusive and proprietary from those looking to copy your success can be a challenge.
This challenge is compounded when you use components and elements within your design that are mass manufactured and widely and easily available. Using our components, you will be able to offer your customers a chance to own a piece of jewelry that is unlike anything they see sold in the retail stores and en masse in the market. You will be making it nearly impossible for copycat designers to replicate your jewelry. You can SET the trends instead of following them and design jewelry collectors and buyers will clamor for.
Since everything is limited, we recommend staying in touch and following us on social media. We do have a ‘first dibs’ group on Facebook where everything is offered for sale before it hits our website. Many items sell out completely in the private Facebook group, sometimes in just minutes. If you want to be sure you’re seeing everything we offer and getting updates about when new items will be coming available, check out our Follow Us page.
high quality
Superior quality jewelry supplies you won’t find anywhere else make your designs distinctive and lasting. Most of our stock is true vintage new old stock (NOS) and manufactured as limited runs decades ago.
We buy and sell almost exclusively vintage. This includes NOS, designer overruns, and items that have been sitting unused in warehouses, basements and even barns for decades! Most items have manufacturing origins in Europe, Japan or America. We don’t always know the provenance of all of our pieces, but if we do, we will be sure to let you know in the item description!
I’m going to sound like my grandfather telling you the quality of manufacture for jewelry components (and just about everything else) was far superior 70 (or even 40) years ago, but this is the painful truth. Sadly, most of the manufacturers who produced our pieces no longer exist. In many historically jewelry industry heavy regions, it is a dying art.
It is being replaced by pieces made cheaply and poorly under questionable (or worse) working conditions that can’t hold a candle to what was once available. Disposable pieces that are not meant to last or even necessarily be safe to wear!
When you buy from Belluxe you can be assured our pieces will last generations. Most already have lasted generations (sadly hidden away) and are ready to be turned into wearable art and delight your customers for decades. You can also be assured everything we have for sale is lead free, cadmium free and non-toxic to wear.
Ethically Sourced & Sustainable
Sourcing vintage gives us a unique place in the generally wasteful fashion industry. We don’t participate in sourcing from factories or sources that abuse labor, use questionable or toxic material, or pollute our environment.
We are extremely committed to our ethics and environmental responsibility in sourcing! We don’t believe that forced labor in any way is acceptable. We source mostly vintage overstock or overruns from designers and manufacturers effectively saving them from the landfill and breathing new life into them. We pride ourselves in our ability to reclaim and recycle what would typically be considered waste.
Most of what is available on the market today for new items are from companies and countries that have no regulations about what they export, how they treat their employees, or what materials it contains. If something is manufactured in China or Southeast Asia, they have zero obligation to disclose (Or be truthful about. That’s right, they can outright lie and do!) that their components are: 1) safe to wear and not containing toxins or poisonous materials or heavy metals, 2) produced by labor that is paid a living wage and treated well, 3) produced in a way that is responsible to the environment, and/or 4) even the type of metal or material they claim to be.
Most of our product, if not vintage, are manufactured in the European Union and United States. These regions have strict regulations about what can be in items made to be worn, what you can label items (i.e. if it is not .925 Silver it cannot be labeled as such), labor practices, and laws protecting the environment from careless or destructive manufacturing processes.
Even if you don’t buy from us, I urge you to look into those you do purchase supplies and components from and try to do your best to do your part to make the destructive fashion industry more sustainable and less ruinous.
