Imitation star ruby connectors. I have some explaining to do. These are actually west German silk/moonglow glass in a fantastical fuschia color! The star pattern was somehow imprinted within them. They were super popular in the 1950s (along with their blue “star sapphire” cousins), but I don’t even see much old finished jewelry with them in them anymore. Pretty rare. No matter what you see on eBay or Etsy…they’re not Edwardian, they’re 1940s-60s. Check out the video to see how they shimmy and move because it’s not like a real star ruby, but it’s pretty freaking cool!
